Pattern

The Summer Top is knitted from the top down. First, the back piece is knitted with an opening at the center back and with increases at the sides for the armholes. Stitches are picked up along the shoulders for the front pieces, and the neckline is shaped with increases and decreases. Below the armholes, the front and back pieces are joined, and the rest of the work is knitted in the round. The top is decorated with an eyelet-patterned ruffle at the bottom. Stitches are picked up around the armholes, and a ruffle is knitted here, shaped with short rows. Finally, an i-cord is knitted along the neckline.
