ChiaoGoo QUADS Lace Interchangeable Needles – square interchangeable needles

ChiaoGoo QUADS Lace are square, interchangeable stainless steel needle tips. The flat sides and rounded corners provide a different and stable grip compared to traditional round needles.

The needle tips are calibrated to provide the same gauge as ChiaoGoo's corresponding round needles. Therefore, you typically do not need to change needle size when switching from round ChiaoGoo needles to QUADS.

Choose the right cable

• Sizes 3.25–5 mm have S-connectors and are used with S-size cables
• Sizes 5.5–8 mm have L-connectors and are used with L-size cables

The same cable size applies to both 10 and 13 cm long needle tips.

💡 Good to know

The square shape provides flat surfaces for the fingers to rest against instead of a completely round surface. This can provide a more stable grip and reduce the need to hold the needles tightly. Many knitters therefore find square needles comfortable for longer knitting sessions or when their hands easily get tired.

Choose the cable according to the needle size. Needle tips from 3.25–5 mm require an S-cable, while 5.5–8 mm require an L-cable.

QUADS are calibrated to correspond to the same needle size as round needles. For example, if you use 4 mm with ChiaoGoo's round interchangeable needle tips, you can typically choose 4 mm with QUADS as well. However, gauge is also affected by your knitting style, so it's a good idea to knit a swatch before larger projects.

Cables are not included and are purchased separately. The needle tips are compatible with ChiaoGoo's interchangeable cables when the correct connector size is used. They can also be combined with ChiaoGoo swivel adapters in the corresponding size.
