Pattern

Garri is a digital knitting pattern from Ístex for an Icelandic sweater with a slit and a high collar. The pattern is knitted in Álafosslopi and is suitable for both women and men.

The characteristic front slit is finished with a high ribbed collar and snap fasteners. The sweater is knitted in the round from the bottom up to the armholes before the body and sleeves are joined and the yoke is knitted. After that, the slit is cut open and the front edges are mounted.

    GAUGE (10 × 10 cm)

    13 sts × 18 rows in stockinette stitch on 6 mm needles.

    Check the gauge carefully. If you knit too tightly, switch to larger needles. If you knit too loosely, switch to smaller needles. If the gauge is incorrect, the garment will have the wrong measurements.
