Pattern

Jökla is a digital knitting pattern from Ístex for an Icelandic sweater with a colorful yoke. The pattern is mainly knitted in Léttlopi and combined with Plötulopi and Einband in the pattern section to create a vibrant play of colors.

The pattern is available in two colorways – red and blue – where the colored details in the yoke are created by combining Plötulopi and Einband according to the chart. The sweater is knitted in the round from the bottom edge up to the armholes before the body and sleeves are joined and the yoke is knitted.

    Plötulopi – 100% Icelandic wool (100 g = approx. 300 m)

    Einband – 100% Icelandic wool (50 g = approx. 250 m)

    GAUGE (10 × 10 cm)

    18 sts × 24 rows in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles with Léttlopi.

    Check your gauge carefully. If you knit too tightly, switch to larger needles. If you knit too loosely, switch to smaller needles. If the gauge is incorrect, the garment will have the wrong measurements.
