This cardigan was designed as a wedding gift for designer Kristin's daughter Anna, a gift she can take home with her. The motif consists of roses and hearts as symbols of love. The cardigan is inspired by the Norse goddess Sif, who symbolized faithfulness, life, and warmth. Her hair was as golden as the sun, making golden-yellow yarn a fitting color for the pattern. The cardigan is knitted bottom-up with steek stitches down the center front and at the armholes. The front bands are begun in the ribbing but finished after the cardigan is steeked. Most of the cardigan is knitted in the round; the neckline is knitted back and forth.
