Pattern

Ljósaskipti is a digital knitting pattern from Ístex for an Icelandic sweater. The pattern is knitted using Álafosslopi and Plötulopi, combining an airy feel with soft color transitions.

The design is inspired by the changing light as the sun slowly sets into the sea on the way home on a Sunday evening. The sweater is knitted bottom-up with wide sleeves and a round yoke, where short rows at the back of the neck provide a comfortable fit.
