Pattern

The Malene cardigan mimics a kimono in its cut and is crocheted in Svarta Fåret's soft Ulrika wool yarn with a lace pattern and contrasting color. You crochet the front and back pieces lengthwise in one piece, and then you crochet the sleeves directly onto the body. You turn after each row on the sleeves to get the same pattern as on the body, but before turning, you close the row to avoid sewing or crocheting sleeve seams afterward. With its wide ¾-sleeves, Malene is perfect over a blouse.
