Mar is a digital knitting pattern from Ístex for a classic Icelandic sweater with a round yoke and multi-coloured pattern. The pattern is knitted using Plötulopi and Einband held together, and is suitable for those who appreciate timeless Icelandic design.

The name Mar means sea. The pattern is inspired by drawings in water and sand – drawing with yarn. The body and sleeves are knitted separately from the bottom edge and then joined to form a round yoke.
