Pattern

Verk is a knitting pattern from Järbo for a patterned shawl inspired by embroidery on folk costumes from Ovansjö and Järbo. The traditional motifs are combined with garter stitch stripes and solid-coloured sections.

The shawl is knitted top-down with increases along the edges and on both sides of the centre stitch. The majority is knitted in the round and then cut open before the final edge is knitted back and forth.
