Collection: Knitting patterns from Sisu Knitwear

Sisu Knitwear designs knitting patterns for Nordic conditions. The designs are inspired by Nordic, Finnish and Sámi cultural heritage.

The creative mind from Finnmark, Christina Einvik, is the force behind Sisu. With experience as a photographer and graphic designer, she combines these skills with her passion for designing knitting patterns. She draws inspiration from old traditions, nature and culture when developing new designs and patterns.

At the end of 2020, the Tromsø Hoodie pattern was released in collaboration with VG and Min Mote. The pattern quickly gained popularity, making Sisu a well-known name in the Norwegian knitting community.

Sisu was born out of the extra time for creativity during the pandemic, and since then, many patterns have been brought to life. In the fall of 2022, the book Strikk fra nord was published and topped national bestseller lists for several weeks in a row.

In the summer of 2024, the book Barnestrikk fra nord was released, featuring knitting patterns for children aged 1 to 14. The designs are recognizable from Sisu’s first book.

This little knitting universe is growing steadily, with new patterns always in the works. Thank you so much for your interest in the company - it means the world.
